Logistics Level II: Order Taking, Loading and Unloading Methods, Invoicing

The Logistics Level II seminar aims to specialize participants in more complex supply chain processes, with an emphasis on order taking, proper loading/unloading techniques, and the basic principles of invoicing. It is the natural continuation of Level I and focuses on enhancing professional training as well as increasing productivity and safety in the processes.

The seminar is intended for:
  • Workers in warehouses and logistics centers with basic experience
  • Warehouse assistants who wish to take on more responsibilities
  • Managers responsible for goods movement, loading, and unloading
  • Sales or sales support staff involved in order taking
  • Individuals who have completed Logistics Level I and wish to continue their training

How long does the training last and how is it delivered?

Total Duration: 24 hours (6 days × 4 hours)

Seminar Plan

Day 1 – Introduction and Order Taking I
  • Introduction to Logistics Level II – objectives, definitions, and introductory principles
  • Introduction to order taking – basic functions & workflow
  • Types of orders and handling telephone/electronic orders
  • Interaction of orders with inventory and availability
Day 2 – Order Taking II and Practice
  • Use of ERP and WMS systems in order taking
  • Practical exercises: entering an order into the system
  • Order tracking and flow changes (cancel/modify)
  • Communication with customers – order, updates, confirmation
Day 3 – Loading and Unloading Techniques I
  • Organization of loading/unloading area – equipment and workflow
  • Types of vehicles and transportation means
  • Best practices for product loading – stability and classification
  • Case studies – problems and solutions
Day 4 – Loading and Unloading Techniques II
  • Unloading and order receipt – inspection and procedures
  • Safety measures and regulations (labor laws, HACCP, labeling)
  • Training in forklift/pallet jack use – theoretical part
  • Ergonomics and physical protection during loading
Day 5 – Invoicing I
  • Introduction to invoicing: concept, structure, and standardization
  • Creating invoices – sales and shipping documents
  • Practical invoicing from real orders (exercises)
  • Use of software for invoicing – basic functions
Day 6 – Invoicing II and Seminar Conclusion
  • Compliance with legal framework (Greece – EU) – VAT, invoice elements
  • Analysis of invoicing errors and prevention methods
  • Comprehensive review of concepts – Q&A – case studies
  • Final evaluation, provision of materials, and participation certificates
